Tax Foundation and AEI Hosting Conference This Friday on Progressive Consumption Tax

We will be co-hosting a conference with our friends at AEI this Friday, October 24 to talk about a proposal analyzed by the President's Advisory Panel on Federal Tax Reform that would replace most of the federal income tax with a progressive consumption tax. Here are the details:

Our own Robert Carroll, Ph.D., Vice President for Economic Policy and former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Tax Analysis at the Treasury Department under Hank Paulson, will join fomer House Ways and Means Committee Chairman, Bill Thomas, and other tax scholars to discuss what's known as the Bradford X-tax, developed by late Princeton University economist and AEI scholar David F. Bradford.
