Tax Foundation Research Plastered in Editorial Sections This Week

It's not unusual to see Tax Foundation data and research cited in at least one news organization every day. But we've noticed an above-average amount of coverage from columnists and editorial boards this past week. Let's run through some of them:

• The Atlantic City Press editorial board cited our State-Local Tax Burden Report in a story on the New Jersey government requiring all new employees to reside in the Garden State. (3/5/09)
• San Francisco Chronicle columnist Debra Saunders interviews me and features our research on "nonpayers" into the federal income tax system. (3/5/09)
• The Detroit News editorial board uses our data from the latest edition of Facts & Figures to argue that a wholesale tax on gasoline is too volatile for Michigan. (3/8/09)
• Investor's Business Daily's editorial board also uses our studies on "nonpayers" into the federal income tax system in a story on the latest political battles between Rush Limbaugh and David Frum. (3/10/09)
• The Wall Street Journal editorial board cites our data in denouncing President Obama's proposal to cap tax deduction for charitable donations. (3/10/09)
• Wisconsin State Senate Minority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R-13th Senate District) pens an op-ed in the Janesville Gazette on proposed tax hikes, citing our 2009 State Business Tax Climate Index. (3/10/09)
• Denver Post columnist David Harsanyi cites our data on corporate and capital gains taxes in a story on President Obama's economic policies. (3/11/09)
• Philadelphia Bulletin columnist Michael Tregmolie features many of the themes of our CompeteUSA campaign on corporate taxes in an article on global tax competition. (3/12/09)
