Tax Freedom Day Announced as Wednesday, April 26

We've finally announced the day of Tax Freedom Day for 2006—Wednesday, April 26th. You can download the full study here, or read a quick summary here.
Here's my personal favorite graphic, from page 5 of the report, which dramatically illustrates the radical changes in the structure and scope of goverments at all levels that took place during the past century:
