The federal "tax gap" - the difference between what the IRS says taxpayers owe and what they pay - has been the subject of recent debate in Congress. Both the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Finance Commitee have called it a "drain on the U.S. economy" and have made compliance an issue in other hot topic debates such as AMT reform.

The Tax Foundation has assembled a lively panel to discuss some of the proposals to close the tax gap and the potential effects on a range of currently compliant businesses. We hope you are able to join us.
