Rochester Post-Bulletin (MN) Reports on Key Economic Issues for State Legislature, Cites State Business Tax Climate Index

"Beyond the Budget: Key Issues for 2009 Legislature"

Senate Minority Leader Dave Senjem, R-Rochester said the state needs to cut its corporate tax rate to bring in new business. He points to a report by the Tax Foundation that ranks Minnesota among 10 worst state for business tax climates. Senjem said lawmakers also need to look at streamlining regulations, making it easier for companies to obtain state permits.
