Boston Herald -- 'Freedom tax day falling later than predicted'

"It sounded like a rare piece of good news for taxpayers. ``Tax Freedom Day,'' the notional point in the year when the nation has earned enough to pay all federal, state, and local taxes, was reported to be due on April 17.

"According to The Tax Foundation, a Washington, D.C. think tank, that's two days later than last year - but pretty early by modern standards. The foundation calculates that Tax Freedom Day fell later and later throughout the Clinton years until reaching May 3 in 2000. "
