KGW 8 -- Washington Tax Freedom Day May 4
It's national Tax Freedom Day -- but Washington taxpayers are still paying.
The Washington, D-C, "Tax Foundation" says all the money you've earned until now equals the amount that goes to the government this year.
That's the national average.
Washington residents will keep working to pay local, state and national taxes until May fourth. That's second to last in the nation.
Oregon's Tax Freedom Day was last Friday and Idaho's was April 16th.
