NY Times cites property tax data, Index ranking
The focus on taxes is no surprise, given that New Yorkers are among the highest-taxed people in the nation. Recent studies by the Tax Foundation, a Washington-based group favoring tax reductions, ranked New York as having the fourth-highest property taxes and ranked it 47th in business appeal.
