Burlington Union (MA) Cites Tax Foundation Data on State Per Capita Debt

Abandoning the hope that new employment along the rail corridor would fund construction would force the state to write off the project as a victim of the fiscal crisis or come up with an alternative revenue source. The non-partisan Tax Foundation estimated Massachusetts, at $10,154 in 2006, had the highest state per capita debt in the country.
