"A recent study released by the Tax Foundation revealed that North Carolina's business tax climate is the poorest among our contiguous states. On a scale where 1 represents the nation's best business tax climate, here are the rankings for our region: Florida ranks No. 2; Virginia, 12; Tennessee, 15; Georgia, 20; South Carolina, 24; and North Carolina, 30."
