Newark Star-Ledger Reports on Republican Gubernatorial Candidate’s Economic Plan, Citing State Business Tax Climate Index

"Christie Presents Plan for Growth"

Christie cited a study by the Tax Foundation, a nonpartisan research group, that said New Jersey has the second-worst tax climate for businesses and its tax burden has been the highest in the country for the last three years.

By lowering taxes, Christie said, New Jersey will attract more companies, thereby increasing revenues to help close the state's budget gap, currently at $2.8 billion.
