Rob Shrum

Rob Shrum is Manager, Development and State Affairs at the Tax Foundation, working closely with the director of development to manage the majority of fundraising programs and with the director of state projects to manage communication with external organizations. Rob is responsible for maintaining communication with donors, activists, think tanks, and state officials, preparing and revising foundation grant proposals, and maintaining records and databases.

Prior to joining the Tax Foundation Rob served as Operations Manager for the political consulting firm Advantage Inc. Responsible for business development and client relations, Rob worked to develop advocacy and grassroots strategies for national and state campaigns and various political organizations. Rob also worked with the 72 Hour Division of the Republican National Committee, responsible for focusing on devising and implementing nationwide volunteer grassroots activities. Rob holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle Tennessee State University and is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Political Management at George Washington University. Rob resides in Washington, D.C.
